Let's start 2025 with your health at the top of your priority list 🎉 On Thursday 16th January 2025, we're holding another cervical screening walk in clinic at 📍Selby War Memorial Hospital from 4pm - 7pm. If you're not sure where to go, check out our walk through on our socials. This one coincides with Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. Every day, two women die of cervical cancer in England, yet 99.8% of cases are preventable. We know that it's easy to put off going to your screening, but it could just save your life. The screening itself only takes a short amount of time, and whilst perhaps a little uncomfortable, it shouldn't be painful. Our fantastic team of nurses will be with you every step of the way, and there are lots of ways they can make you feel as comfortable as possible. They're here to answer all your questions as well as carry out the screening. Any women or people with a cervix aged 25-64 can attend for their cervical screening if they are due (you need to have received your letter) or overdue. Simply come and see us with your NHS number to hand and we'll do the rest. We also offer bookable clinics across the region. If you would rather have a set appointment time, or would rather attend another clinic location, simply call our central bookings team on 01904 721111 and they'll arrange a suitable date and time for you.
